The club is holding a Beetle Drive for fundraising on Friday, 27th February at 7.30pm in the Balbeggie Village Hall. The cost will be £10 for a table of 4 (ie. £2.50 per person) and this will include tea, coffee and cake/biscuit. Don't worry if you don't have a full table or even a partner as we will soon find one for you. This was a very popular evening when we held our previous one two years ago so come along for a great fun evening and invite your friends.
Balbeggie Pony Riding Club was first set up by Captain Sinclair in 1972 as an unmounted Pony Club for those who wanted to ride but did not own a horse or pony. Eventually in 1992 it was no longer necessary to remain unmounted as all members had their own ponies.
We are a small friendly unaffiliated pony club offering membership for families with children between 5 and 21 years of age. Our outdoor rallies are held at Westfield, Balbeggie, Perthshire. We cater for all abilities of riders and are an ideal starting point for young riders looking to gain experience and improve their equestrian skills and knowledge.
We hold a variety of events throughout the year including rallies, cross counrty training and annual competition, working hunter and combined training competition, summertime show jumping league and an annual summer show.
The club is run by a committee of parents who always welcome new members and encourage their families to be involved in the club. We always welcome new ideas!
